Well am off to the bush for the next 2 days for my brother in law's wedding... gonna be great. Not sure how I am going to abide by the PCP laws and rules of engagement.. but I'll try my best, been throwing in an extra 300 jump ropes the last 3 days for extra good measure.
Workouts going great again..and injuries healing quickly with lots of stretching. I am def noticing how much fitter and stronger my body is in ceratin areas.. jump rope sets of up to 400 are happening, and often going well byond the allocated reps on the last set of most of my exercises ex of the LUNGES! crums those guys leave me in agony!
Hope everyone has great weekend - adios from sunny South Africa

INJURY TIME
Today the day of injuries and
Post and during my workouts noticed a few things so to say.
Acute pain on the inside of my lower right calf towards 500 jumps on the rope... not sure if muscular or tendon.. but wondering if i should be resting this as its the second day this is happening.
Also right muscle on mid spine of back "tweaked" on one of the incline pulls.. managed to compelte rest of my workout without problem,. Push-ups & sit ups no issue, but if i try any twisting action with my torso, mt back ain't happy at all. Kinda came out the blue, again not sure whether to be resting this now? Popped some muscle relaxants and hoping just a pinched nerve.
Frustrating - really felt i was progeressing well with the program and its been getting a lot easier as time has gone by. taken some muscle relaxants and hoping for the best

SA VERY EASY YET VERY HARD!!
Three days since i have arrived in SA and man its good to be back home with family, leading a somewhat normal life away from the craziness of hong kong. Here for seven more days - I've found certain things about PCP so easy here, yet other things incredibly difficult!
The easy
- workouts seem 100x easier - I'm putting it down to the amount of space, clean air, plenty of time and very good R&R. 25 degrees, sunny and blue skies are a good incentive to get out of bed and start one's day vs a computer screen!
- Food and cooking are really easy here... the cost & availability of ingredients, ripe fresh fruit & veg is awesome (AVOCADO, BUTTERNUT, GEM SQUASH AND WHITE GRAPES!) plus having the time to cook all this stuff is a massive plus. Meals are good and if anything i am overfull
The hard
- well its just one thing - and its food. SA and Durban in particular has, an abundance of great food and a serious social braai (barbeque) culture.
While its super easy cooking and getting the food, and avoiding the booze around the fire, there has been a lot of household favourites that i am agonising, not being able to sink my teeth into. All the seafood hangouts by the sea! (as durbs people bath the stuff in lemon butter!) Woolworth's chicken pies, Biltong, Boerewors, garlic bread, potato bake... man its tough !
Well time to sign out, feeling good , and the 10 day detox thus far has been great. No massive noticeable body changes, though i am down 2kg's, but i feel more energetic and am sleeping better at night.
My lunch today
2 piece Low GI wholegrain bread, Avo, loads of Salad Peppers, tomato, read onion, with some smoked chicken on top.. charts!

NEED WINE!
Well been stuck in the airport now for 4 hrs since my flight has been delayed and am contemplating seriously smashing a large glass of wine...
Workout was easy today.. my abs are chuffed to bits to be having a break and the jumpropes getting a lot easier. Its been good week.. half portions were not a problem, no soda drinks or booze.
The hard part starts tomorrow.. mad for the fruit not so much the veg!
happy easter to all out there

Mind-games?
I don't know if its that my body is use to eating so much, or that my mind is playing tricks on me when i see everyone elses big helpings... but man do i get hungry in between meals ... tried the drinking trick and tea def helped more than water, also snacked on some jerkey and that helped loads.
Workouts going well - added a 5km run in with my workout today - energy levels were actually fine (unlike the last 3 days), even the post the workout.
A duel has also started with my jumprope.. 50 reps is on but the stupid thing keeps hooking my foot round 35 - hopefully practice gets me there and quickly
over and out

Day 2 gone 88 more to go!
Well the first 2 days are down without many problems... Exercise done first thing in the morning to some banging tunes! The one thing that i'm really noticing is how hungry I am in between meals! The thought of going for a run or hitting the gym is out of the question... think i'll fall over! Bit envious not to be heading out to share a few pints with the fellas and watch some rugby but hey its ONLY 3 months. The wife has nicked the camera for her holiday, so will get some week 1 shots up as soon as i can
